The latest version of the Google Wave Notifier is compatible with Ubuntu running Wine version 1.0.1. If you experience problems using the Google Wave Notifier under Wine, please report them at the Bug Tracker.
The Google Wave Notifier makes use of the Google Wave Client-Server Protocol. A specification of this protocol can be found on the Google Wave Client-Server Protocol website. A reference implementation of the protocol described there can be found on the SourceForge Google Wave Client-Server Protocol website.
